Hi folks. This is a trip to the French Alps with my nephew Daniel, who lives over here. We’re touring the Vanoise region and staying in unstaffed refuges. We are mostly out of the way of telephone signals and the places we stay don’t have Wi-Fi, or indeed any roads leading to them so facilities are basic. I will, where I can, like now, post photographs. Like this very strange one from tonight

I’m sorry but this trek is exhausting and that’s the best I can do.
We came down from over 8,000 feet today to Pralognan. Saying in a hotel!
A treat as it will be the only time for a week that we get warm water and electricity.
